I realized that this is probably because they are working for Asian artists and elevating their careers. When they say "Asian" they just mean people who can pass as Korean - when I see people saying "only Asians can be Kpop idols", I think they mean, people who can pass for east Asian. I feel most Kpop fans wouldn't take kindly to an idol who is Asian but isn't east or south east Asian. I wish I could remember her name but there was an Indian trainee at some Korean entertainment company and people were dragging her on Twitter. She's Asian but just not "the right type of Asian" it seems. Imagine a scenario where a hijab wearing Muslim woman became an idol trainee, she would probably have to go into hiding from all the death threats. So I don't think people actually mean ALL Asians when they say "only Asians can be Kpop idols". I think they mean, "only east Asians and pale south east Asians can be Kpop idols". Some of the people who say this could just be people who fetishize east Asians and anyone else being an idol might "ruin" the fantasy for them.

None of us expected to survive. Witness 3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was daylight, I couldn't say if it was the morning or later I pulled myself up as far as I could to see the warehouse collapsed around me the roof had fallen in and I was trapped my legs pinned with my back slightly propped against what I think was a produce crate. I couldn't pull myself free but I didn't feel like I was badly injured beyond scapes and scratches odd considering that a building had just landed on me. However, I could see part of the sky It was raining steadily but it was definitely daytime I thought about performing my own song of passing but couldn't bring myself to sing it out loud so instead I watched the skyline waiting for both the literal and metaphorical sunset. It was getting dark The sky turning from a pale grey to a darker grey just tinged with the black of night when I saw them Ships, Hundreds of them the faint white-blue light of atmospheric thrusters I had always seen when cargo ships left with our product, so many of them they pushed back the dark.

Also, I don't get how Kpop in Korea is Asian representation when being Asian in Korea is the norm. Maybe if for example, BTS is promoting in America, it's Asian representation because white people are unfortunately considered as the standard in America but most Kpop acts are based in Korea and do most of their promotions in other Asian countries. So how is seeing an Asian person singing in an Asian country supposed to be minority representation when that's deemed as normal? Instead, I think it would be nice to see non pale or plus sized or non-able bodied Koreans and Asian people, or just POC in general have a place in Kpop. Even if there ever was to be an extremely successful non-Asian Kpop idol, I struggle to see how that's a bad thing if Korean people are okay with it (even if they're white). At the end of the day, I'm not Asian so I could be completely wrong on this one. These are the same people who don't care when Kpop idols do CA - So a Korean Kpop idol can speak in a stereotypical "blaccent", wear dreads, cornrows and durags, throw around the N word without a care, be colourist and discriminate against other POC and Black people while also making music that originates from African Americans and Kpop fans don't have an issue with that.

The human who held me turned to face me and for the first time I noticed once again that it had tears in its eyes, its voice was level when it told me to permit them ( I was thoroughly confused by what they wanted) I gave my approval provided they requested permission on arrival, that way I figured in the years it took them to arrive it would be someone else's decision by then. I thought at the time that two strange interactions with humans would be enough for me and so excused myself and returned to the world song. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It would appear that the order of these events began with xralts decision to direct humans to our emergency embassy some 12 years ago and that the second event involving humans revolves around the xeta 9 disaster and the events that followed the next set of reports will be focused on the human's actions on xeta 9 and after. Please remember these events are not to be made public until our investigation is complete and our findings have been published and reviewed

Let me tell you about my children instead. :) Here are some photos of them: We'll begin with my 15 year old daughter, Eos. She was named by her father after the Greek goddess of the dawn & bringer of new beginnings. She is just as unique as her name, and has always been a very intense child. She has 2 settings: Off and FULL BLAST. Now that she's in her second year of high school, she's discovering who she is. As of now, she describes herself as pansexual, gender-fluid, and an introverted extrovert. She has a beautiful singing voice and plays the ukulele quite well considering she just picked it up this summer. Next up is my only son, Noah. He is 11 years old with an amazing natural sense of humor. His comedic timing is impressive for his age, honestly. Even though he doesn't like to be touched, he is always quick to offer a hug if he thinks I might need one. He began middle school this year, and it's been overwhelming for both of us. He would much rather watch "let's play" videos on YouTube & pretend he's the one playing.

Their Oppa is entitled to Black American culture and can do whatever he wants with it, but god forbid someone who's not Asian but respects Korean people and culture wants to participate in performing Kpop... Here's the funny part, it'll be companies and idols who are trying to break into the American music scene doing things that are culturally insensitive to Black American, Native American and other American POC's then still want them to buy the group's album. Meanwhile, I've never heard a case where a non-Asian idol is being insensitive to Koreans and their culture. They don't have to be fluent in Korean - There are Kpop groups trying to expand in America and some members can't speak English (I don't have an issue with it in case you were wondering), so why should Kpop Idols who aren't Asian be 100% fluent in Korean? If they can deliver their lyrics well in Korean, I don't think they should also be expected to know every single word in the Korean dictionary. I see a lot of people saying that Kaachi is not Kpop because there's non-Asian members and they are not singing 100% in Korean.

I received word of the cataclysm on my home probably 3 days after it happened ( which is considerably fast for communication in space) I guess the amount of traffic coming through and past the gate helped speed the data along, not that we (my people or the embassy) were expected to do anything with it other than prepare our mourning songs for a doomed world. It was during preparations for the world song our last farewell to those who that a few of the humans from the engineering department stopped outside my quarters requesting information on the evening repairs. They saw me and three other Endarks in our ritual clothing and being the oddly curious beings they were enquired about them, I explained that a planet in our home system was facing extreme environmental fluctuations and showed them the report including and that we were holding a funeral ceremony for all the people that were about to die. Their (the humans) reactions were incredulous YOU MEAN THEY ARE STILL ALIVE one exclaimed far louder then I felt was necessary.

Their next words will never leave me WHAT ABOUT THE RELIEF TEAM. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WITNESS TESTIMONY AGRICULTURAL WORLD XETA 9 I worked in the export district it was nothing more than a flat open area with warehouses for storage and a reinforced landing zone. when the ground first began to shake we thought some foolish captain was attempting to land an oversized craft it wasn't until we reached the landing zone and saw clear skies that we felt something was wrong the shaking stopped and we were ordered to return to work while the cause was investigated. We were finishing loading the processed crops into the warehouse furthest from the landing zone when the shaking started again this time it was much stronger, strong enough that it made standing upright difficult.

Although Kpop is probably a big part of Korean culture, I wouldn't say that Kpop IS Korean culture 100%. It's not like some of the fundamental aspects of Kpop such as EDM, Hip Hop, Rap, Tropical House and so on originated from Korea. But with that said, that also doesn't mean that every single Kpop song and act is inspired by foreign music but a vast majority definitely is. Even then, more uniquely korean sounding Kpop songs are less common these days. So I don't think John Smith singing Kpop is the same as John smith singing Trot, Pansori or Gugak. For those reasons I don't understand how it can be considered cultural appropriation or disrespecting someone's traditional culture. Non Asians play a role in the Kpop industry already - Non Asian people have been writing and choreographing songs that Kpop idols sing for more than 10 years now. Artists like Boa, Shinee and SNSD have had some of their biggest hits written by non Asian people. Not to mention producers like Bloodshy and Avant, Sean Garrett, MNEK and whole host of others have been involved in producing and writing Kpop songs but no one has an issue with that.
