Il cast non presenta stelle di prim'ordine ma conta un giovanissimo Ben Affleck e un insospettabile Michael Rooker. La consueta colonna sonora punk rockeggiante e tante citazioni completano il quadro di una pellicola non indimenticabile ma al quale si può concedere una visione. Dopo Clerks era lecito aspettarsi di più da Smith che in questa sua seconda pellicola adotta uno stile più demenziale che nonostante alcune trovate divertenti non tocca mai i livelli del suo primo lavoro. Il cast non è male ma i personaggi hanno una costruzione debole e una caratterizzazione pure peggiore passando dall'essere simpatici all'essere insostenibili in poco tempo, fortuna che i soliti Jay And Silent Bob compensano lo squilibrio. In parole povere è una pellicola discreta che nell'ora e mezza non annoia ma nemmeno entusiasma e tra i lavori del regista va classifcato come film minore. Scorretto, divertente e pieno di citazioni. Insomma, un film in puro stile Kevin "Silent Bob" Smith, che però non raggiunge il livello di altri suoi lavori.
