In the car, the conversation begins civilly enough with the women complimenting one another's dresses. But benign chit chat quickly turns tense and not for the last time that day either. For the sake of privacy, Spiros and Dimitra conduct their bickering in Greek. Meanwhile on the boat, Lugaretzia is very uneasy and Theo is very queasy. Even the dolphins swimming alongside them can't distract Theo from his seasickness and he ends up vomiting on Leslie. Gerry unsympathetically applauds and Leslie pushes him in the water. Then from out of nowhere, a boom erupts on the water. Theo suspects it's someone dynamiting for fish, an illegal activity punishable by prison time. The car and the boat arrive almost simultaneously at Larry's place.

If Leslie refuses, he will shoot him with his army rifle. Leslie being Leslie, he wants to know what type of rifle Mr. Likourgos will be using. Back at the Durrell estate, Larry tips Leslie off to the phenomena of phantom pregnancies and "wishful thinking" by women dumped by their boyfriends. When Daphne ( Elli Tringou) and Leslie next meet, neither one seems thrilled about their situation. Leslie suggests they go see Dr. Petrides to make sure Daphne is well (and truly with child). A long wait ensues, so Leslie must run out on Daphne to attend Aunt Hermione's memorial service. After official medical confirmation that Daphne is indeed pregnant, the parents-to-be are still at odds about their future. Louisa tells Leslie that Daphne is a decent girl, but he must make a decision to marry her or not. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2020 Verified Purchase A wonderful opportunity to have series based in Corfu yet for some bizarre reason, the writers and producers agreed to importing daft characters from the UK to visit and take the edge off what could have been something special. At least one episode has some of the cast returning to the UK, which is also a shame and a wasted opportunity, in my opinion. The family is a one off so you can forgive the fact that they do not adhere to the general principles of the era in what they discuss or how they interact with each other. Eminently watchable on a Sunday afternoon or evening and enjoy the scenery. The maid and retired sea Captain we the standout characters for me, along with Theo and the young Gerald. Margo has her moments. I almost managed to watch all of the 4 series but just couldn't quite last the whole journey. I had had enough half way through the 4th series.
